OUR STORY
We are the Loyola Marymount University chapter of the Financial Literacy Club 501(c)(3) national non-profit organization.
The Financial Literacy Club aims to educate high school and college students on topics related to personal finance.
Our chapter at Loyola Marymount furthers this mission by conducting surveys among Los Angeles college students. The insights gathered from these surveys enable the Financial Literacy Club to tailor their financial literacy programs to the unique needs of college students in the area.
Financial literacy is an essential skill set that often doesn't receive the attention it deserves in standard educational curriculums. Financial literacy skills will benefit them for the rest of their lives, helping them make informed decisions about budgeting, saving, investing, and managing debt, among other things.
